PADI Open Water Diver

To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. Course Outline

The knowledge development is designed to give you a basic understanding of Scuba diving and the skills required, which you will use throughout the course
Understanding how to use the Scuba equipment is vital to ensuring you have fun, safe and comfortable dives.
The pool is where you learn all the skills for the first time, which helps to prepare you for the ocean and all basic issues you may encounter underwater
The ocean part of the course is the most fun. This is where you practice a select few of the skills you did in the pool, and get to experience the beauty of the underwater world for the first time

Course Schedule

This is the basic course schedule we follow, for more details and to confirm exact times, please contact your instructor or divemaster

Monday 6pm Meet at the club for course introduction, hand over of materials etc.
Tuesday Self Study
Wednesday 6pm Meet at the club to go through Knowledge reviews (completed in own time) and pack gear
Thursday 5pm Meet at the club and then go to the pool for pool sessions (Generally pool sessions 1 to 5 are done, but may continue on Friday if unfinished and dependent on the group size)
Friday 5pm Meet at the club and continue pool sessions if required
Saturday 7am Meet at the club and drive to dive spot to complete ocean dives 1 and 2.
Sunday 7am Meet at the club and drive to dive spot to complete ocean dives 3 and 4. Examination will be completed upon return to club.
FAQ You wil now be certified as a PADI open water diver and have your dive license card delivered to the address of your choice.You may join our club dive group and dive whenever a Dive Master takes a dive out, and enjoy the great discounts we reward our members with.
